Themed \u2018Harnessing the Power of Intellectual Property’, the event will focus on the latest IP developments and how these can be aligned with business objectives.<\/p>\n

At an activity organised by Hindustan Unilever to celebrate World IP Day Madhu Rewari will talk to\u00a0school children<\/a> on what intellectual property rights actually mean. Simplified IP concepts\u00a0and \u00a0activities describing the same should be the order of the day.<\/p>\n

 
\n\"copyright<\/a>UNESCO and CSH are organising a seminar on Copyright Engagement in Creation, Appreciation and Collection at the French Institute in Delhi. Creating, archiving, curating and collecting visual artworks remain ambiguous subjects, and the seminar hopes to shed a little light on the matter. Tejshree Savara Mathur will speak on the \u2018Moral and Economic Rights of Artists\u2019 and art sales, and the role of the many stakeholders involved.<\/p>\n

Also, copyright concerns stemming from outright copying are fairly well understood. But what about \u2018taking of inspiration\u2019 or even imitation of existing artworks and recreating them in another form. Geetanjali Visvanathan will address the seminar on the issue from the point of view of the courts, and what some key considerations in their decision might be.<\/p>\n
