Eastern Motion Pictures Association, AIR 1977 SC 1443 is the most controversial judgement that has aggrieved the creative community at large. One of the most significant purpose of the 2012 Amendments to the Copyright Act, 1957 was to undo the far reaching consequences of the SC ruling.
